Welcome to the 2024 GYL Season
January 8, 2024
Welcome to the 2024 Season!

We are pleased to announce that registration for GYL's spring programming is now open! Below is a link to our updated website for all program information and key dates.

Please forward this e-mail on to any new families you may think would be interested in our program.
There are several notes that we would like to share:

  • Fees will remain the same for the 2024 season. There will be no increase for the 4th year in a row. In a world of increasing costs, GYL is focused on providing a quality product at an attractive rate!

  • Travel lacrosse for boys and girls:
  • Beginning in 5th grade, travel teams will be segmented by age (the same way it has been for the past several years). Our registration system will allow you to register by grade but you will be placed in the appropriate age group based on the age cut offs found here.
  • Intro to Travel is grade based for 3rd and 4th grade regardless of age. You simply play House League and Intro to Travel in your grade. No, you cannot “opt up” to play in a higher grade.

  • Program: Clinics for 5th – 8th grade boys and girls
  • GYL will continue to offer specialized training but expand on our successful goalie clinics run by Chris Madalon. We will be promoting draw/face-off, shooting/dodging and defensive clinics to augment your developmental experience. This will be part of the travel curriculum. You will hear more about this as the season unfolds.

GYL is consistently one of the largest programs in USA Lacrosse and we anticipate another record season of enrollment in 2024. Despite our size, we strive to innovate and evolve each season. In fact, this year we are working with JM3 Sports to bring new, fun, and innovative programming to GYL. You will hear more about this as we get closer to the season. We bring you world-class coaching and programming right here in our backyard.

On behalf of the GYL Board, we wish you all the best for a wonderful 2024 and we look forward to seeing you this spring.
