Important Reminder about GYL COVID Protocol
Now that our spring season is off to a safe start we wanted to remind everyone about our COVID protocol. We truly understand how difficult it is for everyone in these unprecedented times but we need everyone to familiarize themselves with our guidance that applies to our House League and Travel programs.
Highlights include:
Masks must be worn by players, coaches, and spectators at all times
Social distancing must be observed by all parents & spectators on the sidelines
Only coaches and players are permitted on the fields – parents & spectators must stay behind the fences at all times
COVID positive players or players under investigation for possible COVID due to symptoms are required to submit a physician clearance note before returning to play
At present Connecticut Department of Public Health requires any close contact of a known COVID case to complete a full 14-day quarantine before resuming participation in sports, even if CDC or DPH guidance would allow them to resume other activities. GYL therefore requires players to complete a full 14-day quarantine before resuming play.
If you have any questions at all, please e-mail the GYL COVID mailbox. We are all in this together and should be focused on following our protocol to keep the kids on the field all Spring. We appreciate your patience and understanding in these unprecedented times.
