Travel Commitment Policy

GYL Travel Commitment Policy

GYL Travel Commitment
Dear GYL Travel Families and Players,

This is a reminder about our Commitment Policy that applies to all boys and girls travel players.
We ask that GYL be your child’s spring season priority extra-curricular activity (after family, school and religion.) If you are enrolled in a spring soccer, lacrosse, baseball or other sports team with competing spring schedules, it will simply not work. That said, what you do in your “off time” is your personal decision.

We just ask that you fully commit to GYL and make it your priority to the team. This is not meant to be punitive. It is meant to reward those who are all in! It's about choice and we ask that if you play GYL, you choose to prioritize our program. If you are torn between two programs, choose one even if it means foregoing GYL. This is your decision.
  • Unexcused absences will cost you game playing time.

  • If you have 3 unexcused absences, you will be referred to the GYL Board for possible dismissal.
Please respect our policy, but more importantly, your teammates and coaches who have made GYL their priority.

Please let us know NOW if you anticipate any issues. We'd like to do our best to help you resolve any conflicts so we can avoid issues for your child.

Should you have any questions or issues, please reach out to Pat Coleman (Boys Travel) or Sarah O'Connor (Girls Travel).

On behalf of the GYL Board, we wish you all the best, and thank you for your support of GYL.
